Building Chanak from Uganda First
Why We Started Here
Chanak is being built around a simple problem: many learners study from scattered notes, old handouts, and explanations that do not always follow the syllabus in front of them.
We are starting in Uganda because the need is clear and specific. Students need a study path that follows the NCDC O-Level curriculum. Teachers need quicker ways to prepare practice and see where a class is struggling. Parents and schools need clearer progress signals without adding more paperwork.
What We Are Building
- Syllabus-led lessons arranged by subject, topic, and subtopic.
- Quizzes and applied practice that help learners check understanding.
- ChanAI support that explains concepts inside the learning path.
- Teacher and school tools for assignments, classwork, and progress.
How We Want to Grow
We are not trying to copy a generic education product and rename it for East Africa. The platform has to fit local classrooms, mobile data realities, teacher workload, and the way families actually support learning at home.
Uganda is the first country focus. Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania come next as each curriculum is carefully mapped instead of rushed.
