Our Story
Chanak EdTech was born from a simple observation: Uganda's new competence-based curriculum is world-class, but schools lack the resources to deliver it effectively. Textbook shortages, teacher gaps, and zero digital tools leave thousands of bright students behind.
We started in Fort Portal, Western Uganda, working with schools that needed support most. What we found was extraordinary potential held back by systemic barriers. Students wanted to learn, teachers wanted to teach—they just needed better tools.
So we built Chanak: a cloud-based platform that delivers curriculum-aligned content, instant AI tutoring, and teacher analytics to any student with a smartphone. No textbooks required. No expensive tuition centers. Just quality education, accessible and affordable.
Today, we're piloting in 10 schools reaching 5,000+ learners. Tomorrow, we're scaling across East Africa.
